Is 13mm thickness sufficient for a school track?
Absolutely sufficient. 13mm is the IAAF standard thickness for cast-in-place tracks, with vertical deformation of 0.6–1.3mm and energy return rate of 35–50%, meeting competition requirements. Thicker doesn’t mean better, it may actually affect spike grip.
Does the EPDM surface need an SBR base layer?
For school tracks, we recommend SBR base (6–10mm) + 13mm EPDM surface combination, offering the best value and durability, already adopted by 200+ schools. Competition tracks can be upgraded to full EPDM system (base 8–10mm).
How to choose colors? Can we customize school brand colors?
Red (brick red) is the traditional IAAF competition color, most common; blue suits modern-style venues; green, gray etc. are suitable for community tracks. Can be customized by RAL/Pantone color codes, we provide physical color samples for confirmation.
Do we need to purchase PU adhesive separately?
